President Muhammadu Buhari has asked Nigerians to forgive him if he has hurt them in the course of his duties. Forgive Me If I Have Hurt You
At the ninth and final Sallah homage, which was held in the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja by residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) under the direction of the minister, Mohammed Bello, he made the appeal.
Additionally, the President thanked Nigerians for their patience with him over the past seven and a half years.
“I think it is a very good coincidence for me to say goodbye to you and to thank you for tolerating me for more than seven and a half years now,” the final line of my message reads.
“I assure you that I have purposefully made arrangements to be as far away from you as possible not because I don’t appreciate the love you have shown me, but rather because I believe I have gotten what I have asked for and would rather retire in quiet to my hometown. I would rather retire there.
“I believe God has given us an incredible opportunity to serve as your president, having served as governor, minister, and president twice. And for that, I praise God. Please forgive anyone who believes I have acted improperly; we are all human. I’ve undoubtedly harmed a few people, and I beg your pardon. And I beg your pardon from those who believe I have caused them so much harm”.
