In a new twist to the continuous political intrigues in the country, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has, in London, met with the presidential candidate of the Labor Party (LP), Peter Obi alongside Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, and some of the supporters of the former presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Other participants in the meeting are Governors Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Sam Ortom (Benue); former Cross Rivers State Governor, Donald Duke, and former member of the National Assembly, Olaka Nwogu.
A photo that emerged apparently from the gathering shows the participants in a pose together.
No details have been released concerning the meeting, which came as Wike was supposed to also meet with the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar.
There had likewise been rumor recently that the Rivers governor would have a meeting as well with the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu.
