Tonte Ibraye, the governorship flagbearer of the African Democratic Congress, in Rivers State has nominated Tonto Dikeh, a popular Nollywood actress who hails from the state as his running mate ahead of the 2023 gubernatorial election in the state.

In response to the news, the actress while displaying his nomination form on social media expressed gratitude to Ibraye.

She said, “I thank Mr. Tonte Ibraye, the Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress Rivers State for nominating me as his running mate.”

Dikeh also listed their manifestoes thus “investing massively in social protection, creating a social value system for young people, increased women inclusion in our governance system, supporting small businesses and strengthening our traditional institutions to be active players in the drive to bring sustainable development to the good people of Rivers State.” she added.
