Anambra State Governor, Prof. Charles Soludo, has condemned the assault on the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial Locale, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah by shooters.
The senator’s guard was reportedly attacked on Sunday night by shooters and some of his personal aides and an unconfirmed number of persons were killed.
In the report, Ifeanyi Ubah barely got away from his assailants on Enugwu-Ukwu street in Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State
Condemning the assault, Soludo in a statement given by his Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, said the government was fully determined to wipe out every act of criminality in the State, “this is the last ditched-effort of a sinking boat” by these criminal elements
He consoled that all security agencies in the state are currently completely on guard to fish out the culprits of this horrifying assault. The governor further noted that the assailants of the senator would be made to confront the full wrath of the law when caught.
The Governor likewise sympathized with the families of the senator’s aides who lost their lives as well as the State Commissioner of Police, for the policemen who also lost their lives.
